Nursery Rhymes – Kids Songs Baby songs “Jack and Jill” – Kids Nursery Rhymes In English
“Jack and Jill” is a famous nursery rhyme. Its origin dates back in the early 18th Century. There are several versions of this kids’ song. The phrase “Jack and Jill,” also known as “Jack and Gill” sometimes, was used in England to describe a buy and a girl.
The earliest printed version comes from a reprint of “ Mother Goose’s Melody” by John Newbery. It is assumed that it was first published in London around 1765. In this published version, Jack and Gill referred to two boys instead of a boy and a girl.
