White House Announces Death Tolls Can Reach Upto 100K to 240K – Two Weeks Unbearable For U.S.

President Trump addressed the Americans to be ready to prepare for the very painful two weeks in the U.S. as the coronavirus rapidly spread and infected people at tremendous rates. President said the U.S. is going to face a “very, very painful two weeks.”

 

On Tuesday, President Trump stated, “This could be a hell of a bad two weeks. This is going to be very bad two, and maybe three weeks. This is going to be three weeks like we’ve never seen before,” in the press conference held at a White House. 

The officials of the  White House predicted that about 100,000 and 240,000 Americans could die due to COVID-19 fatalities in the United States, going to peak in the next two weeks. He added that “When you look at night, the kind of death that has been caused by this invisible enemy, it’s incredible.”

 

Data shows that the United States has the highest numbers of positive coronavirus cases than that of any other country in the world. There are about 184,000 infected people cases, as per the data released by Johns Hopkins University. 

With this data, New York has become the epicenter of the coronavirus outbreak across the world, with about 75,795 positive COVID-19 cases on Tuesday morning. All confirmed data reported till now is more than that of the Hubei province of China as there were less positive cases even after the initially emerged in December. 

Governor Albany said, “I’m tired of being behind this virus. We’ve been behind this virus from day one. We underestimated this virus. It’s more powerful, it’s more dangerous than we expected.”

 

President Trump said that no one even could believe that Elmhurst hospital, situated in Queens of New York City, officials arranging refrigerator trucks for temporary mortuaries that stand outside the hospital, this is the same place where Trump grew up. President said in the situation of New York that they are too late to take action as for the mitigation efforts. 

 

The hospitals and officials of New York City decided to set up facilities for infected patients to treat them in the tennis courts, and Central Park as all the hospitals flooded with the confirmed cases. There is no space for the new virus-infected people. De Blasio, Mayor of New York, said that the city is working together with the federal government, hotel industries, and other businesses to turn their property into a potential medical assistance facility. NYC Health Department has presented the data in which more than 1,000 citizens of New York City died due to COVID-19, updated at 5 p.m. E.T. 

 

President Trump stated, “This is going to be the roughest three weeks we’ve ever had in this country. I wanted as few as a number of people to die as possible. And that’s all we’re working on.”

 

Thus, Dr. Deborah Birx and Dr. Anthonyv Fauci project that the U.S. can face up to 100,000 to 200,000 deaths in the next two weeks.
