Nursery Rhymes – Kids Songs Baby songs “Five Little Monkeys”- Kids Nursery Rhymes In English

“Five Little Monkeys” is an English language folk song and fingerplay. Kids enjoy this nursery rhyme so much; the song is often accompanied by a sequence of actions that mimic the words of the poem. There is a series of books titled “Five Little Monkeys” written by Eileen Christelow.  The amazing thing is that she heard it from her daughter. You can get your kids jump or do any other fun gestures while singing making it more playful. It is a modern nursery rhyme and there is no known of the origin.

“Five Little Monkeys” Lyrics

Five little monkeys jumping on the bed,
One fell down and bumped his head,
Mama called the doctor and the doctor said,
“No more monkeys jumping on the bed!”

Four little monkeys jumping on the bed,
One fell down and bumped his head,
Mama called the doctor and the doctor said,
“No more monkeys jumping on the bed!”

Three little monkeys jumping on the bed,
One fell down and bumped his head,
Mama called the doctor and the doctor said,
“No more monkeys jumping on the bed!”

Two little monkeys jumping on the bed,
One fell down and bumped his head,
Mama called the doctor and the doctor said,
“No more monkeys jumping on the bed!”

One little monkey jumping on the bed,
He/She fell down and bumped his/her head,
Mama called the doctor and the doctor said,
“No more monkeys jumping on the bed!”

No little monkeys jumping on the bed,
None fell down and bumped their head,
Papa called the doctor and the doctor said,
“Put those monkeys right to bed!”

Teach this poem to your kids and have fun. Monkeys are always so active and naughty, and so are the kids, so why not give them the pleasure to act like monkeys and let them have fun. I have had fun along with my cousins while singing this amazing poem.
