Emirates introduced waiver policy to enable customers to book the flight with peace of mind

 

Emirates all focused to provide more flexibility, ease, value and choice to its customers through the newly launched waiver policy on all the booked ticket issue from March 7 to March 31st this policy will allow the customers to change their travel dates without any re-issuance or changed fees all across the network.

This move will provide emirates customers mental peace because of changing travel plans in this evolving COVID-19 situation. Customers will be able to change the travel booking dates within a date range of 11 months in the same booking class as before without any added penalties. The difference in fair charges, if applicable will apply. This policy of Emirates will cover all the existing world destinations covered in Emirates Network.

Chief Commercial Officer of Emirates Adnana Kazim said, “We want our customers to feel fully supported, comfortable and confident when making travel plans, while offering them the best fares, without incurring change fees should they decide to delay or adjust dates. The situation remains dynamic and we will continue to look at ways to provide flexibility, convenience, and peace of mind for our customers.”

Emirates Skywards will also provide flexibility to the members who were affected by the Coronavirus outbreak through imposed restrictions on travel and flight reductions. Skywards Gold, Platinum and Silver member will be able to maintain the current status by getting 80% of the tier travel requirements fulfilled between March 31 to June 30, 2020.  In addition. The skywards member will get the benefit of an additional 20% tier miles bonus between March 1 to June 30, 2020.

For additional mental peace, Emirates will also take the aircraft’s cleaning process up a notch by adding additional precautionary measures by implementing enhanced procedures for disinfecting after the flights of most affected COVID-19 destinations. If the airline will be alerted of any suspected case of Coronavirus, the emirates team will immediately deploy deeper cleaning to disinfect all the cabins and washrooms of the aircraft thoroughly with strong chemicals.

Emirates utilizes HEPA filters across all the aircraft, which is proven to remove more than 99% virus present in the cabin environment. Is there is any confirmed or suspected case of Coronavirus, the Emirates team will take one step forward and replace all the HEPA filters on the aircraft.

All the Emirates customers are advised that any applicable taxes or fare difference may apply if they wish to change the booking dates or different fare class. Current rebooking and refund conditions for issuing tickets before March 5 will still apply.
